I Purchased the BigFoot Bags Elite MTB Hard Case a month or so prior to an overseas riding trip to Whistler BC, Canada, to transport my Downhill bike (Ironhorse Sunday). After a fair amount of research into many kinds of Mountain Bike transport bags/cases, the Main reason i chose to go with this case was due to its rugged design, along with the added protection from the PVC wheel blocks and padded wheel bags that help prevent damage to frame/fork extremeties and wheels. I Did have to make a spacer from PVC pipe to suit the axle diameter, which filled out the gap either side of the Wheel Block, as they were not as wide as my forks or rear triangle.
 
I can safely say that this case did protect my bike very well, with the help of some packing foam and the kasino correct fitment into the case, i had peace of mind knowing that my bike was wrapped up and secured as best it could have been to endure the rough journey. The Padded wheel bags which are included with the case add extra peace of mind knowing that your wheels are safe, and also prevents scratching of either the bike or wheels. I removed my kasino brake discs, and packed them flat separately, to prevent any disc damage or bending.
 
Transporting the bike around the airport was made very easy thanks to the four caster wheels bolted to the underside of the case, so easy in fact, it was just like having another small suitcase on wheels, and the shoulder strap which is included made any lifting of the bike case a breeze.
 
Packing the bike into the case was made very easy after removing:
 
Wheels (Discs removed for added peace of mind)
Handlebars
Peddles
One Crank Arm, to allow a flatter surface for the wheel to rest on
 
I would recommend filling any gaps with foam, as this helps keep the bike secured in the one position, but is not essential thanks to the great velcro straps which hold the bike snug against one side of the case.
 
I would encourage anyone searching for the ultimate protection for their loved Mountain bike to check out the BigFoot Elite MTB Hard Case, as i am very happy with mine, and hope i get to use it much more in the near future, and after one trip to Canada and back, it looks like it has many more trips left in it.
